Stage 2
There are pit crews and race marshals that are constantly
there through out the race. The drivers are in constant
contact with them particularly their pit crew, those
who are committed to their finishing the race, the pit
crews and race marshals send out the rescue vehicles
when needed and generally keep their eyes on the drivers
to ensure their safety and their completion of the race.
There are always 2 drivers as part of the team for the
Bathurst 1000
It could be said that the pit crews and race marshals
are the third entity for the teams in the race.
HRH Dianna the late Princess of Wales talked of the
third entity in her marriage.
We all need a third entity in our marriages. Wait for
it.
Not another man or woman, not sport or work, not holidays,
not possessions, not animals or adult children and grand
children.
That entity can only be God.
God’s promise to never leave us alone needs to
be very real in the midst of marriage, the third part
of a rope if you like; I understand that a three part
rope cannot be easily broken. Ecc. 4.12.
With God as part of a marriage there is always the availability
of the Holy Spirit to
- comfort
- counsel
- help
- intercede
- be
an advocate
- strengthen and
- act as a standby
- John 14.16 “And
I will ask the Father, and He will give you another
Comforter, (Counsellor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate,
Strengthener and Standby) that He may remain with you
forever.” (Amp.)
There are times within marriage when we need every ounce
of the Power of God. What begins with such promise can,
because of life stuff end in dust and ashes, just like
the Bathurst 1000.
However unlike that race, marriages are made to last
for a lifetime and the only way I know that that can
happen is with the help of God.
